The Executive Director is the PMBIA’s senior operational leader, responsible for executing the organization’s strategy, ensuring financial sustainability, and guiding the day-to-day work of the Office Team, Director of Education, contractors, and PMBIA committees. Working in close collaboration with the Board of Directors, the Executive Director translates the PMBIA’s mission, vision, and governance direction into effective programs, operations, and member services.
DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION

The Director of Education oversees the development and quality assurance of PMBIA’s certification programs and educational resources, as well as ongoing Instructor Trainer development and mentorship. This leadership role involves curriculum development, training the team who deliver PMBIA courses, and continuous improvement to ensure PMBIA’s offerings remain at the forefront of the mountain bike industry.
INSTRUCTOR TRAINERS
PMBIA’s Instructor Trainer team is responsible for delivering the organization’s certification courses and training programs worldwide, ensuring that every course reflects PMBIA’s commitment to professionalism, consistency, and industry-leading standards. Our Instructor Trainers are experienced educators who bring the PMBIA curriculum to life—upholding excellence in course delivery, supporting instructor development, and contributing directly to the growth and quality of mountain bike instruction across the global community.

The Office Team supports the day-to-day operations and growth of the PMBIA by delivering member services, coordinating course logistics, and driving the organization’s marketing and community engagement efforts. Together, the Office Administrator, Administrative Assistant, and the Marketing & Community Development Coordinator ensure smooth communication with members, instructors, and partners while promoting PMBIA programs, strengthening relationships, and supporting course participation across our global community.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The PMBIA is the governing body for mountain bike instructor certification and training courses, within the global mountain bike industry. The PMBIA Board of Directors are a group of professional, dedicated, volunteers (and mountain bikers!) that are responsible for overseeing the governance, strategy, long term sustainability and health of the PMBIA. The Board works closely with the Executive Director to ensure the vision and mission of the PMBIA is maintained through the hard work and dedication of its staff, volunteers, and committee members.

INTERNATIONAL TECHNICAL COMMITTEE
The purpose of the International Technical Committee (ITC) is to continually refine and develop the course content and materials within all PMBIA programs to ensure the most consistent and highest possible training and certification standards, in the global mountain bike industry. This international working group of passionate individuals collect any and all feedback from course participants, PMBIA Trainers, venues, partners and the industry at large, to ensure a constant collaboration with the global mountain bike industry. The ITC is committed to representing all PMBIA members through its diverse, inclusive structure and includes both male and female members from most of our major operating locations. The committee regularly communicates throughout the year to share ideas, perspective and feedback. The ITC represents the industry's elite mountain bike instructors, coaches and instructor-trainers working to inspire excellence and professionalism in the mountain bike coaching & guiding industry.
